Well, Hey everybody, Jonathan Doyle with you.
Speaker:Once again, welcome to another daily podcast.
Speaker:Quick message today.
Speaker:Just hope it can get you on your way.
Speaker:Get you pumped up and moving for the day.
Speaker:Ah, there's so much good stuff around.
Speaker:I've been using the mindset app recently came across it recently.
Speaker:It's called mindset.
Speaker:It's pretty fancy.
Speaker:Uh, it's based out of the editor at Canada.
Speaker:Vancouver.
Speaker:I went to Vancouver, great city.
Speaker:You got to speak there.
Speaker:And the convention center really loved that place.
Speaker:Sort of cool sort of Gaslight district down there.
Speaker:Really nice.
Speaker:So go to Vancouver.
Speaker:I put them on your list.
Speaker:And, uh, I remember this mindset app.
Speaker:Yes, it's really good.
Speaker:It's just like, you just play it.
Speaker:And it's got all this amazing motivational stuff every day.
Speaker:It's kind of like aggregating all of the great motivational content of
Speaker:the last sort of 20, 30, 40 years.
Speaker:And I'm get different stuff every day.
Speaker:Really like it.
Speaker:I just pride myself.
Speaker:You know, it's called priming.
Speaker:I sort of try to get my day underway as best as possible.
Speaker:Uh, I'm back training hard.
Speaker:So I'm up sort of around 4:00 AM.
Speaker:Most days I'm on the bike by five and.
Speaker:Two hours of crazy training and then home and sorry.
Speaker:I've got to tell you the truth.
Speaker:So many of you have this perception of me, like Jonathan wakes up and
Speaker:he's like ready to attack the world.
Speaker:No, no, no, no, no, no.
Speaker:Jonathan wakes up and he's like, oh, my bed is so comfortable.
Speaker:It's so warm.
Speaker:And winter's on the way here and it's going to be like minus six.
Speaker:And I'll be like, what am I doing?
Speaker:But, uh, I've learned to prime myself.
Speaker:I've learned to be organized, ready to go.
Speaker:I have all these little hacks.
Speaker:If you spent 24 hours with me, but like really dude, you do this.
Speaker:Like I have his special digital timers that turned my coffee machine on like 40
Speaker:minutes before I wake up so that I don't waste time waiting for it to heat up.
Speaker:That's just part of it.
Speaker:I just have all this stuff ready to go.
Speaker:Gets me going right.
Speaker:And then get him a head.
Speaker:Right.
Speaker:Getting good stuff in there every single morning, I got to
Speaker:work so hard on this, right.
Speaker:I got to work so hard on this every day.
Speaker:Please do not think that I, I came out of the womb, this motivational pumped person,
Speaker:cause I've had to work at every single.
Speaker:Day of it and I still do, and it's a choice and it's a decision and it's
Speaker:moving me forward and I love it.
Speaker:And I want you to come on the journey with me.
Speaker:Friends.
Speaker:I have talked yesterday about breakthrough.
Speaker:If you haven't heard that episode, go back and check.
Speaker:Yesterday's talked a lot about breakthrough.
Speaker:So now I want to just leverage a little bit of something that Tony Robbins talks
Speaker:about, which I think he does really well.
Speaker:The three S's there's so powerful state story and strategy.
Speaker:State story and strategy.
Speaker:He makes a great point basically, that when people are trying to change
Speaker:their lives, one of the crucial things that everybody seems to do
Speaker:is they go straight to strategy.
Speaker:Right?
Speaker:Well, what do most of us do when we're stuck?
Speaker:You know, if we've got a problem in our career and our relationship
Speaker:with our kids, with our health, we immediately, the default for most
Speaker:of us is we go straight to strategy.
Speaker:We go, what do I need to do?
Speaker:Here, what, how do I fix this?
Speaker:What is the, what is the stair strategy that I need to put in place?
Speaker:You know, what is my approach to this?
Speaker:What tools do I need?
Speaker:Do I need a coach?
Speaker:Do I need this?
Speaker:Do I need that?
Speaker:And, uh, it's called the tyranny of how it's like, we get stuck in the
Speaker:tyranny of how we get trapped in this.
Speaker:How do I do this?
Speaker:Right.
Speaker:And, and often it can be really hard to know.
Speaker:I mean, have you been paying attention?
Speaker:We're living in this crazy complex world now we've got
Speaker:chat GPT running AI everywhere.
Speaker:So it's like, Hey, if you have a question, how do I do X.
Speaker:You're going to get this a lot of information thrown at you.
Speaker:So I want to give you a different lens on this.
Speaker:And instead of putting strategy, first, we put strategy last.
Speaker:So we got three S's.
Speaker:What are they state strategy to state?
Speaker:Story and strategy.
Speaker:When did these quickly, I don't want to.
Speaker:I just want to give you the overview of these.
Speaker:So state of course is our physiological state.
Speaker:It's the, you know, the state that we're in, if you are in a happy positive,
Speaker:Alert, you know, you've welfare.
Speaker:Do you feel pumped?
Speaker:The sun's out, you know, this morning after, after our training ride this
Speaker:morning where we're sort of leaving the cafe in rural riding back and
Speaker:the sun's out, the sky is blue.
Speaker:We live in the national Capitol, marauding over the bridge, and
Speaker:it's just like, it's beautiful.
Speaker:And you just feel good.
Speaker:It's like right at that moment, you decision-makings good attitudes.
Speaker:Good.
Speaker:You positivity's good.
Speaker:Everything's just working together really, really well.
Speaker:So we want to get the state right first.
Speaker:And of course the opposite of this.
Speaker:If you're in a bad state, if you're depressed, if you're down, if you're
Speaker:miserable, if you're exhausted.
Speaker:Then you tend to not really come up with the next thing, which is a great
Speaker:story, but what do I mean by story?
Speaker:I mean, how you're describing your life to yourself or how you're describing
Speaker:your place in the cosmos to yourself.
Speaker:If you're in a great state, you tend to often find a good story.
Speaker:What's a good story.
Speaker:Like, yeah, I'm going to make a difference.
Speaker:Today is going to be really good.
Speaker:My life's going to move forward, you know?
Speaker:You just tell yourself a good story.
Speaker:There's so many stories.
Speaker:We tell ourselves you have a victim story.
Speaker:Like nothing good ever happens to me.
Speaker:People are always doing bad things to me.
Speaker:I've had all this trauma in my life.
Speaker:I can never overcome it.
Speaker:That's a story.
Speaker:Right?
Speaker:So stories are incredibly powerful.
Speaker:You know, what's the, what are some of the dominant stories of your own life?
Speaker:Things that you tell yourself about yourself when you're by yourself?
Speaker:So if we get a state right.
Speaker:Then we tend to get a bit of story and from the bit of story comes a strategy.
Speaker:You know, you often found that if you feel in a great place, if you're
Speaker:feeling healthy and well, and you're happy with how things are going
Speaker:in your life and where you are.
Speaker:Do you don't find that the strategies tend to come.
Speaker:That the, the people and the books and the programs and the things
Speaker:that you need, maybe this podcast.
Speaker:Contend to flow towards you.
Speaker:So I want you to all get out of the idea of whatever you're facing,
Speaker:whatever is complex for you, whatever you want to be different.
Speaker:Drop the strategy for a little bit.
Speaker:Just put it down, you know, where to find it.
Speaker:You'll know when to go back and look for it.
Speaker:Just put it down.
Speaker:And spend more time focusing on state and story.
Speaker:Get your state better sleep, better eat better.
Speaker:I've been using a lot of supplements lately, cause I'm
Speaker:a training volumes pretty high.
Speaker:I saw a meeting.
Speaker:I'm eating really well, but I'm found that I'm just, uh, yeah, I'm just, you know,
Speaker:supplementing with some really good stuff.
Speaker:I've got a coach that helps you with it, and I've got a natural
Speaker:path that helps me with it.
Speaker:So, you know, I'm sleeping.
Speaker:Well, I got really a lot of sleep disciplines and, uh, yeah,
Speaker:just trying to do all the right things and that gets my state.
Speaker:Right.
Speaker:And then they can go to work on the story and then we get the story.
Speaker:Right.
Speaker:Then the strategy takes care of itself.
Speaker:So there you go, everybody.
Speaker:I hope that's a blessing to you.
